Now, I'm not an expert in razors. I know a little about knives so I'm familiar with winchesters cheapo not very good quality knives. So what makes their razors so much better, heck I didn't know they had razors. Is this really that rare or is somone trying to get alot for a little. Seems rather expensive to me.

AFAIK, they're prized as collector pieces. Whether that's worth it, depends on usage: Shaving? Probably not. Collecting? Depends.

Winchester is a famous name, and collectors pay big prices...$399 as a starting bid sounds like he's shooting a bit high, but you never know.

I found a minty Winchester straight at a shop near where I grew up and the guy wouldn't even put a price to it...all he know was, Winchester is a name with collector value.
