I won't disagree, or be disagreeable. I purchase razors to shave with. While I have one or two that are rare, or at least not common, I still shave with them, so my preferred size is important.
Go for it. For the price you could hardly go wrong.Last edited by Hawkeye5; 01-20-2010 at 03:48 AM.

Could someone comment on this type of steel? How is it different that Sheffield/Solingen? Is it noticeably different - smoother/stays sharper longer, etc.?
Cheers,I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

I've got them in 9/8, 8/8 and below. If it is a full hollow a 5/8 is ideal IMO. Less flex than a large blade yet plenty of blade and more manuverable than a larger razor. IME you can't beat Swedish steel so what is the issue ? Buy it ,
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 20From what I've read, Eskilstuna, Sweden is where the German manufacturers went for the steel they used in their top-of-the-line offerings. As an example, the difference between the DD Satinedge and the DD Wonderedge, from what I've read, is that the Wonderedge uses Eskilstuna steel.

Thanked: 20Note, however, that there is pitting on the blade and the tang. Also note that there may be light pitting near the edge about an 1 1/8 inch from the heel (bottom pic) and a possible irregularity on the edge about 1 inch from the heel (second from bottom).
