Thanked: 85Nice Henckels, but $536.99?!!!
I don't know if you guys caught this one. It's a very nice Henckels full hollow that just went for $536.99. I'd like to own the razor, but that price seems crazy to me (but apparently not to the people who were bidding on it).

I was wondering (for the past 25 years) if straight razor collecting would ever become popular . Looks like it is . For a long time I thought I was the only one .
Greetings , from Dundalk , Maryland . The place where normal people , fear to go .

I watched that one too. There must have been some bidding frenzy going on. Quinton does deliver a great product though, and he's a great guy, so I wish his business well. I got my prized W&B from him--fortunately, I didn't have to shell out that kind of money to win the bid!

Item number:270520740185 . Quinton does indeed deliver a great product. He started the bidding on that one at $9.95 and was probably surprised it brought as much as it did. Minty Henckles though.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

That is immaculate and Q does have a fantastic reputation (justly deserved, by the way), but I agree that is an outrageous number. I guess it's worth that much to someone, though, and that's all that really matters on ebay.

Did you guys look at the bidding history? The guy who won came in at the end to snipe it. Must mean a lot to someone...

I saw the bid history too, two guys took it from $253 up to 526 and it got nabbed by a last second bidder.

Damn, I have the exact same razor in the same excellent condition and it's one of my best shavers. Better keep it a few years. Might double the amount it sold for in a few years

Thanked: 4I have bought two of the three razors I own from Quinton. I actually sent him an email asking to clarify to me what made this particular Henkel worth so much money. One of my Henkels is actually much nicer and fancier, and I paid no where near that amount. I am happy for Quinton though. He is honest and very helpful. That.....and his razors are AWESOME! hehe
