Exactly. Sight unseen for $17,000 (the BIN price dropped $1k the last time I looked at it); even if I had that kind of money I would never personally spend it without inspecting each razor.
I've had several razors with the windmill raised relief celluloid scales pictured in one of the shots. I don't even recall the makers of the blades for those razors but from my perspective as a shaver, they were not razors I coveted.
To each there own, though.

Thanked: 5Bet his listing sets some sort of record for the most watchers in the category.
A lot of blades in there I've never seen before in ~20 years of collecting str8s. He's likely lucky enough to have gotten into it in the '60's or 70's when you could buy them buy the bushel for under a buck each. Keep hoping the next shop I'll wander into will have a wooden beer keg full of 'em, but I guess I'd need a time machine for that.

I'm not an Ebay expert, but in practical terms, how realistic is such a sale from the buyer's risk standpoint? I'm assuming that all razors are in good collectible condition. I'm wondering more along the lines of insuring such a shipment. Can someone walk into the local USPS or UPS office and say that you want to insure a large box for $17k?. What would insurance be on $17k if such a thing were offered?
I just imagine being a buyer, and having the box arrive just trashed and razors damaged. What's the recourse at that point for the buyer?

He has lowered the price to 17K. Also, he states that his razors are all in excellent shape except for a bit of patina, but if you look closely you can see some that have, what looks to be, a bit of rust. He should also dust before taking pictures. Something like that I wouldn't trust. He would probably be better off selling them in lots of 5 or so. Just my two cents worth.
