Thanked: 0Henry Sears & Son 1865 Prussia straight razor- swastika emblem
I've found a Henry Sears & Son 1865 Prussia straight razor with a series of three swastika emblems on the handle. Curious if anyone has ever seen something like this before or if anyone has any information.

With all due respect, this forum is not for bullying, nor is it for silly accusations and assumptions for which you offer no real evidence (assuming that this person's beliefs were in any way your business on this forum, which they aren't).
Dude's got "blue eyes" in his name, and he's looking for what is probably a rare item DECADES before the Nazi regime, or even any faint whiff of it. You're grasping. Really grasping.
And as someone else pointed out, you do realize the swastika has been used by various cultures with various meanings all over the world for probably thousands of years, right?
For all you know this guy is a Jew. I know blue-eyed, blonde-haired Jews.
Seriously, step off. There is no reason for you to be up in arms and making instigating remarks towards people.Last edited by sensei_kyle; 02-25-2010 at 06:12 PM. Reason: edit to remove a now deleted quoted post

Johny,
With all due respect, I think you are beating a dead horse. First you post your query in the "Razor" forum, now the same question in the "Auction Talk" forum. You've gleaned all the knowledge you possibly can about that razor from this group.
My recommendation is for you to begin some in-depth research on this item on your own, if you are truly serious about collecting. Go to the Minneapolis Public Library or amazon.com and get your hands on the following book:
Amazon.com: Standard Guide to Razors: Identification and Values (Standard Guide to Razors Identification and Values) (9781574320916): Roy Ritchie, Ron Stewart: Books
This book is considered the bible for razor collectors. It should provide you with most, if not all, of the information you will need to satisfy your hunger for information about razors and their value as collectibles.
It may turn out that you will discover that the razor you saw with the insignia in question has little more than "sentimental" value to genuine str8 razor collectors, which is your real potential market. That is, there may be other things, ie. the type of material used to make the scales for the razor and/or the manufacturer's stamp, that count for a lot more among serious collectors than any insignia--religious or political.
Best wishes...
