    Default Sheffield-Solingen?

I saw this on e-bay and thought it had to be a mistake, but the tang does in fact say, "Sheffield-Solingen". Does anyone know anything about this razor?

I've seen plenty of razors saying they are made in one place with steel from another place, or forged here ground there etc. Then again, just cause its on the razor doesn't mean its true (ie Damascus, magnetic, silver steel, antiseptic etc etc)

Some time back a link to a google book was posted telling of the razor market back in the early part of the twentieth century. It seems that in England razors ground in Germany were considered to be of higher quality while in Europe they had a thing for Sheffield Silver Steel.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
