Isn't that taking the idea of a BBS shave way too literally?

I would not have put it to my face as it looked even if it was shave ready. Just the other day, I got a W&B from Mainaman here for 80 bucks. Now THAT was a damn fine razor - clean, sharp and beautiful.

My greatest dissapointment is that some people are going to be turned off from getting into this wonderful obsession by sellers like this one.
What is the item number or who is the mysterdoll?

Mysterydoll is or was a member here , he did a group buy of GD razors for members here. What was left over he put on eBay, but since he bought only like 200 GDs, I assume he keeps buying and reselling on eBay.

40-50 laps on a chinese stone (AKA the chinese 12k)? I think the edge would have to have been pretty close in order for a polishing stone to make it ready so quickly.

    Chaps,

My I gently draw your attention to three things:

    1. The original poster was a complete beginner a few months ago, but has, mysteriously, turned into a connoisseur in the meantime: http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...questions.html.
    2. In a similarly mysterious fashion, a new joiner has wonderful things to say about the razors in (or, technically speaking, and according to the big fat announcement Bruno posted, out of the) question. Not to mention the fact that said new joiner can hone a dull razor back to shaving sharpness with what is considered an extremely slow polishing hone in 40-50 passes.
    3. Said message disappears quickly.

Let me put it this way: If I were you, I would let this thread die peacefully. Nothing good will come out of it.

Oh, and jtitschler: The TNT is a sharpness test in the very, very early stages of restoring a straight razor. This minor detail seems to have slipped your attention while becoming a honemiester.

    Regards,
    Robin

Said message disappeared quickly as after enough reading it's clear i was about to get a lot of harsh comments so i felt it prudent to remove it, run an ip trace if you don't believe me.

Anyway after reading about the gd i have decided to plump for this from rasurpur, anyone have it?

I don't have one of those but if I had the extra $ I would. I've yet to meet a TI that i didn't like.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease, it's a lot for a first decent razor but it's gorgeous, i wanted the 6/8 festonne decorated back but that is out of stock.

Plus i only have a 12k stone anyway so i need it to be shave ready and who better to do that.

Im just awaiting the paypal email to go through with it.
