Default Ebay seller with 60+ razors

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes with my post. I just bought two razors from this seller, and he has at least 60 more. They all look decent and restorable, and each has a buy it now price of $27.50. There are some interesting razors - a George Wostenholm Celebrated IXL, a nice looking Thomas Mfg. Tungsten, and lots of others. They seem like a good deal IMHO. I wanted to buy lots more than two, but I was a good boy. He says he combines shipping, and he's pretty prompt with his communication. I had questions about the condition of one razor, and he was quick to send me additional photos. Here's his page of goodies. eBay Seller: rdp22bmw: Collectibles, Toys Hobbies items on eBay.com

    Happy shopping.

If I'm not mistaken, he used to have them up as a huge lot, then he went to individual listings. Imo, they are all overpriced, but I'm pretty cheap these days...

    You're killin' me here.

I'd love to pick up several of those, but I'm buying an engagement ring and a round trip ticket to South Korea this month.

Yeah, I bought two to see how they look. Hopefully they'll be in decent shape. For me, they'll be good starters to restore, hone and maybe rescale, so it seems like a small investment. He said he bought 200 at an auction recently. He said he'll be listing 50 more soon.

Good luck on the engagement! I just popped the question with my GF (now fiancee) last month. Now the hard work of wedding planning begins!

    Cheers,

Be sure you take a close look at the edges. It's hard to tell from pictures, but a lot of the razors seem to have pitting/oxidation, etc at the edge level.

Thanks. Fortunately, having been married once before, and having a second job as a wedding photographer, I'm pretty well prepared for the planning/wedding phase.

I purchased two when his price was $22. One because the hardware store once had a location on my hometown square where my great grandfather purchased a razor, and a Kinfolks Blue Steel that looked really good.

The one had two cracks in the blade and the Blue Steel, while it has the original finish, has so much small pitting near the edge I doubt it will ever shave.

Thanks for the tip, Chris & John. I'm hoping I scrutinized the two bought close enough. I probably should have asked a question about the seller before I plunked down my cash. Lesson learned. Hopefully I won't be disapointed.

Same for me, Steve (married once before & pro wedding photographers in the family), but it almost seems harder this time!

    Cheers, guys,

    Larry
