    To put things into perspective, I paid USD 100 for mine, restored by Max no less.

    ha ha, yeah... at five days left, this one is going to go way too rich for my blood, but then again I don't usually get into auctions that are any higher than half of the current bid.

    But rest assured, if you find any really nice looking razors that you think people should know about, they are probably already watching them just waiting for the clock to run down.

    I agree, all you'll do by posting things like this is drive up the price for someone who really wanted it and has been looking for one. Now it will probably go to someone with deep pockets and little knowledge of what it is. I don't mean to sound bitter though, it does give people a bit of a heads up on some of the lesser known stuff which is good if you ever see something in a local antique shop or something that you might not have thought much of.

    meh... I'm not thinking too much of that blade.

    first thought in my head.... these things are almost always diseased. Why does the blade look so damned shiny?

    stare at the pictures long enough, and tell me they dont look like they may have been polished?

    Call me suspicious and cynical, but I am not a fan of buffed up blades. (unless Glenn or Max or maybe Dylan did it )

    Now, why dont you start talking about that interesting Wonderedge that some fool just put up with no reserve?

    While I do agree in principle, that one has all the key words right in the title, and the # of bids and price were both up well before the end, so I don't think this thread will really have much of an effect.

    I don't know what you mean by diseased, but I don't think that one looks like it has been restored in any way, just well cared for. Then again, I often make mistakes about razors I see in pictures, so I could be wrong.

    diseased = cell rot
    Every O.D that I have seen has had a heaping of it. There is pitting in the blade, but no other signs of corrosion? sorry, Im just not buying that it is a well preserved specimen. But thats just my opinion.
    belly buttons and butholes, we all got one!

    It clearly hasn't been buffed, based on the even patina and spots of darker corrosion and staining... the scales show none of the distortion or warping of celluloid decomposition... nor does the blade show any patterened corrosion...
