Default Wonder (how to improve) edge

I have listed my first razor on the bay, and would like to hear from some of you more experienced users on what can I do to improve my listings?

Are my photos good enough? Are there better times of day to post a listing? better days?

Is there anything in my wording that turns you off?
Is there anything missing from it that would turn you on?

I dont normally sell, I;m a buying type of guy myself, so I would appreciate any tactical advice you guys might offer.

    Thanks!
    Steve

you are too honest on bay.
just simple say excellent condition for its age and you don't know anything about the razor. This will bring you more money then being honest.
May be i shouldn't say this?
Great razor and wish you good luck.
WONDER EDGE is one of the best shaver among razors.

That makes me sad to hear you say that. But I fear it might be the truth.

Perhaps I should just send my collection off to one of you guys, and let you take a cut?

Do you feel that people wont care if its shave ready or not? was advertising it as such a negitive?

Now I know not to bid on any of hi_bud's auctions .

Magpie, it is a terrible listing and I advise you to cancel all bids and end it now. I'll paypal the $100.00 it is worth immediately ...... kidding aside ..... One tip, a friend who is a pro ebay seller with thousands of sales over 10 years at it always ends his auctions around 8PM on Sunday nights. For USA bidders this is a good time in general when many are at their computers. Pics are decent but could be better. All ducks, dovos and what have you seem to have a tiny warp where the factory heat pressed the metal logo in. You might have mentioned that when you described the "tiny warp." IOW, not a defect but something that they all will have.... IME anyway. The only other thing that my ebay seller friend convinced me of is the advantage of selling worldwide. Vastly improves the outcome of a hot item such as a Wonderedge.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I will second what Jimmy said about international bidders. You can use a small international flat rate box which they would receive within 10 USPS business days. 14.95 is the cost to anywhere in the world. I have been buying and selling on ebay for 12+ years now and all my "hot" items I make sure to allow international shipping because it will normally up the bid count by 30%.

Guess I had best make some changes, Huh!

I suddenly see Wonderedges all over the bay, and fear I wont get a decent price for mine. I also notice that one of the top rated and much highly spoken of sellers has a DD up, and does not even show a photo of the underside of the scales.

Jimmy, for the record, I would have posted it here, and been willing to haggle with somebody, but I cant sell in the classifieds yet.
    I'm still too new!

I will see if I can add the international shipping, as that seems to be a good idea.
I really hate this selling stuff. its so much easier to buy!
Seriously, I dont think I;m kidding about this RAD stuff. Its like compulsive gambling. Self restraint is for people who have self restraint...

The problem with flat rate boxes is that there is no insurance on them and as far as ebay is concerned the seller is responsible for the item arriving properly to the buyer. So you are still assuming the risk during transit. The cheapest internationally insured option is at double that cost and most international buyers balk at that.

I think that very philosophy that some sellers hold dear is why I hate eBay. You shouldn't have to tell someone to provide honest representations of what they're selling. This is a good example of why buyer beware is so important

Good luck with your RAD Magpie
