Default sometines you just hit pay dirt

I bought this one last week on a buy now, figuring it needed a little simichrome polish and a honing and I'd have a nice shaver:

GEORGE WOSTENHOLM & SON "SUPERB" 5/8 - eBay (item 290429291553 end time Apr-30-10 15:33:56 PDT)

Got it today and noticed that it felt pretty sharp. Looked it over on the scope and saw no nicks, dings or chips. Ran it across my arm and the hairs started falling. Sanitized it, stropped it, and had a fabulous shave. It's a done deal. it would be nice to get pleasant surprises like that more often.

Okay, I see the listing is gone already. I've attached the pic from the site

IMO all Wostenholm Pipes are superb. Must admit to not having seen one marked with Superb before. Congratulations!

I used to have one of these too, and it was a killer shaver. Nice score.

Another +1 on the pipes being great shavers. I've never seen one with the additional marking before either. Congrats.
