Thread: How Long From Bulgaria To The USA ?

I bought this lovely example of Soviet razor making here on 4-14-10. It will be 1 month tomorrow and no sign of it. It is Item number:280490009904 if the link doesn't work. Is a month or more average for shipping time from Bulgaria to the USA ? I know I have 45 days to submit a dispute so I'm not worried. I just don't want to jump the gun.

Thats towards the upper end of what I'd expect international shipping to be.

I've had things take 3-4 weeks coming from the US to the UK, and theres also the volcano thats been messing up the flights and delaying things. So I guess you can probably add a few days on for that.

Has the seller been in touch? If not, I reckon give it another week and then file a dispute.

To my mind, all bets are off on anything bought in, shipped from, or generally related to Bulgaria.

I'd try to contact the seller...

Thanks guys, I will give it until the end of the week and shoot him an inquiry. I'm sure he will tell me that he shipped it and knows nothing more. Then I will file a dispute just to CMA.

Not my experience as far as postal services go.
My father ships stuff for me on a reg basis and it takes ~3weeks to come to my door.

I've sent maybe a couple dozen or so packages from neighboring Macedonia (slightly closer than Bulgaria, haha) to the US. Overall, I'd say they averaged about 3 weeks, but I had several that took 4-5 weeks and two that took at least 8 or 9 weeks.

Hmm...considering the deal you got on that straight, the seller may be holding out and hoping that you'll just go away?

It may take a while for packages to come from Bulgaria, but electronic communication is still basically instantaneous. So when you wrote the seller, did he get back to you? If so, what did he say? If not, what are you waiting for? Anytime the package takes that long AND the seller does not respond to an email message, I say pull the trigger and get your money back.

Most shipping to and from Europe takes a little longer than usual, due to the volcano eruption on Iceland.

It takes a while for items to ship from other countries. I waited close to a month to get items from Spain and Argentina.

Check your Ebay "Won" items to see if the item has been shipped. Then at least you'll know its in transit. If not, email the seller a question asking them when it will be shipped.
