    They are expensive, but so are some straight razors. On the whole I'd rather have a straight.

    Maybe for a dedicated DE user and collector but not for me at that price. Besides I understand the new feather is supposedly not too shabby either and its more reasonable.

    You have to held one of these in your hands to appreciate them. They ooze quality. And the blade mechanism is interesting, as is the blade angle. Nice stuff.

    They are a beautiful razor. If I still used DEs I would get one and the all stainless would be the model I would select. As it is I never shave with anything but a straight. If they ever make a slant bar, like the Merkur, I would get one anyway as I collect slants. Not actively seeking them anymore but if I run into a really nice example I usually can't resist.
