His residual DNA has to be worth more than the razor.

The item description seems to authenticate it to a certain extent. Patton's family migrated to and lived in California where he grew up.
Perhaps a relative decided to unload this piece of Patton memorabilia."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

Unless you can establish provenance it's just a claim and nothing more. In this case there is circumstantial evidence at best so it's a leap of faith.

If you read closely, the vendor never claims that it's Patton's razor. They just say that Patton's name is on the case and that it came from a sale in California.

For those too young to know what the fuss is about here is General Patton's speech to the third army on June 5, 1944. You may have seen the edited and sanitized version in the movie starring George C. Scott as 'Old Blood 'n Guts'. The language may be offensive to some readers and this was definitely before the advent of political correctness so don't go there if you're easily offended.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Not to nitpick, but Patton wasn't promoted to Brigadier General until July 1940. The razor listed is a Standard Old Type Gillette, which Gillette stopped making after 1921.
The inscription looks genuine, and that box, lining, and logo all are for the Standard Old Type. I can't explain that discrepancy. Patton received a field promotion to Colonel during World War I, which would match the manufacture date of the box and razor - maybe he was showing characteristic ambition? Or, maybe it's just a fake. I dunno.
