Thanked: 2591the blade looks modified, it is shorter than what is supposed to be.
Take a look at the closed razor , the blade looks unnaturally short compared to unaltered blade.
On unaltered blade the transition from spine to the tip of the toe has nice curve , this one is dead at right angles which means it's been ground.Last edited by mainaman; 06-13-2010 at 06:55 PM.

Ah, I seen now. Would grinding that down affect the temper of the blade? It seems that even though it was cut, it would be worth a 0.99 bid.

Well 1/3 of the blade is missing but it was still bid up to $40. Why the seller decided to end the auction only they know.

Thanked: 1936If it's done RIGHT, it could be a good useable blade...just shorter. If someone doesn't pay attention to the heat, yes, you could ruin the temper on the blade very easily. That's the part that you just don't know unless it's disclosed...
