    Yep - don't bother.

I can't help but notice that you seem to be searching for a straight. I would very VERY highly recommend you look for a shave ready straight from the classifieds here on SRP. Loads of good guys who know what they are doing and will give you a great price on a great razor.

scavenging ebay can be fun, but only after you know what you're looking for.

I've got 2 razors in shave ready condition. I'm looking to expand my set a little. A puma here, a dubl duck there, a Thiers-Issard... you know.

Haha, that hollow is has so much hone wear that I bet it looks like a very shady wedge in profile! Do not bother with it as Gugi already advises. The classifieds are your best bet, unless you get very lucky or are in possession of a full arsenal of hones to tackle ebay specials.

Back to that blade however - you could not find any information. That Solingen marker is one of many that existed in the early to mid 1990s. It looks like a typical Solingen blade, and the chances are in would have been an excellent shaver in its day, and probably still is. However it is on its last legs so dont bother.

Gotcha. Well good luck finding some winners then!
