Her auctions of her late father's barber shop stuff have been going on for a long time and every one of the many stones she has listed are characterized as being,"my fathers finest combination hone for use in his barbershop. He had this one wrapped in a barber towel in his sanitizer cabinet."

The thing that gets me about this hone is that I watched it sell for over $100.00 at least twice if not three times. So assuming the auctions were legit and not shill bidders the buyers must have been dissatisfied and returned the stone. While it is interesting to a coticule collector because of the mix of yellow/blue there just isn't enough yellow to make a viable hone IMO. Add to that it is too small. Odd that it keeps coming up when it has been sold more than once though for prices in excess of it's worth though. At least odd IMHO. Value is, of course, in the eye of the beholder.
Most likely someone bought and return the stone. i have seen it twice sold. In fact there is not much coticule left.
