Lots of bids for a really cracked blade
Here's an interesting one -- a very nice looking W&B, but with what looks to me like a huge crack in the blade, way beyond what would be fixable by just honing away the cracked metal.
Anyway, the blade has lots of bidders, and it's now selling for over $50, which makes me wonder -- is this blade an expensive paperweight, or is there something that can be done to fix a crack like this that I'm not aware of? Thanks for looking.

I had looked at that blade and in the description the seller does mention the crack. It will be interesting to see how much she goes for and what the more experienced member think of a blade in that condition.

you cannot do anything to that blade. May be you can save 5/8 that is all.

Well, it went for $53 in the end, to someone with over 200 ebay transactions. So I would guess that at least the bidder knows what do with the blade, even if we don't. Some here have said that lots of people just buy these razors to look at them and never use them, so maybe that's what this one is going for.
You are correct that the seller points out the crack in the description, so I have no beef with him.
