I believe the scales are likely to be ivory . Weather or not they are worth $400 is a matter of opinion .

This particular seller either has a terrible camera, or is using photo editing software to adjust contrast, saturation, or both. All of his listings over the past few months are similar..almost all overpriced and poor condition razors with these modified pictures. It seems shady.
I don't like the pictures this seller takes, and personally I would never make any conclusions based on them, and most notably, I would likely never purchase anything from this seller, regardless if I felt it was a good deal or not!

Terrible photos indeed. But, I agree with hoggie, the patterning does look like Ivory. Revitts are really old razors, and I've never seen fancy celluloid like that. Definitely not bone.

I cant say whether or not they are ivory but they appear to be artificially aged...I could be wrong.

It's impossible to tell what it is from those pictures. Personally I think the guy has a lot of nerve asking those prices with pictures like that. If you are thinking of buying it, it would be as a collector piece only and only for the scales so you would need an iron clad guarantee it's ivory with a full money back guarantee.
