Default A whole bunch 'o hones

Check this one out. Seller is offering 17 hones in one sale, including what looks like two really nice sized Eschers! Most of the others look like relatively low-priced barber hones, but I don't know for sure because I don't really collect them. Anyway, the guy has a reserve price set, so who knows if there will be any bidding on this to make it worth watching. Here's the photo and link:

Ron, its the "user" not the tool, more tools won't make you a better scyther.

The reserve price has been set by the recent selling price of alike stones,...

So, does this mean given there are 2 Eschers the reserve is near or above $700? I really dislike not knowing the reserve in eBay auctions. Sheesh.

I can't possibly be a better scyther, but my Carborundum 198 scythe hone won't last forever so I need a backup!

+1. If someone is so confident that their item is worth that much, why set a reserve and turn off buyers? Based on recent selling price of alike hones start the auction at $0.99, save a bit on listing fees, drop the reserve, sit back and watch the fun!

If you are going thru scythe hones that fast, you need to slow down and/or stop and buy a mower!

You should try just with-the-grain scything, I hear it makes the edge last longer.

Well, well, well... it's at $440 and the reserve has been met. Let the war begin!
