A whole bunch 'o hones
Check this one out. Seller is offering 17 hones in one sale, including what looks like two really nice sized Eschers! Most of the others look like relatively low-priced barber hones, but I don't know for sure because I don't really collect them. Anyway, the guy has a reserve price set, so who knows if there will be any bidding on this to make it worth watching. Here's the photo and link:

So, does this mean given there are 2 Eschers the reserve is near or above $700? I really dislike not knowing the reserve in eBay auctions. Sheesh.

You should try just with-the-grain scything, I hear it makes the edge last longer.
