    Default Ebay Razor

I was looking at picking up a razor on ebay and wondered if this looked like a razor that could be used. I want it for use but also as the company that use to make it is close to where I live thought it would be neat to have a razor from near by. Well here is the link if anyone would take a look at it and give me an opinion before I bid thanks.

Looks good to me. No real spine wear, no obvious faults like cracks or chips, the scales look good and theres no tarnish.

Go for it and good luck..!

Sorry we don't do appraisals here. Bid what you want or what you budget will allow you to pay for it. I personally have never used a Torrey but have heard good things about them. There is time on the auction so go to the wiki and research the brand to get a better idea for the razor before you bid. The razor looks to be in good shape and very functional. Don't forget that you will need to send it to some one to get it honed, so factor that in the total cost of what you want to spend. Look in the classifieds here, you will find many who offer honing services or maby someone on here lives near you that would be willing to hone it and teach you. Good luck and enjoy your time here at SRP.

That is a very nice Torrey! I don't think it would go a whole lot higher than the asking price. With Ebay you never know though. I have bought a couple of 5/8 Torrey razor (barbers notch, 1/4 hollow), except for mine weren't as clean and had some staining, and got each of them shipped for $10 a piece. Talk about excellent shavers after a proper honing! Most people would agree that they are one of the best American made razors. Do like I do and snipe it during the last 5 seconds or get one of the internet auction snipers to get it for you! Either way I hope you get it

I wouldnt pay anymore than what they are asking for it. Torrey IMO is the best razor steel out there, it take and keep a great edge, I love them.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
