Thanked: 2591On the box, I see the name of the guy that is stamped on the tangs of the old filarmonicas. If the razor is of the same quality I can't say.

Can't read the tang stamp, but there's a good chance it's just the box that's Filly. Razors are frequently in the wrong box, and LOTS of ebay sellers sell by the name on the box, not the name on the razor.

The blade shape does look roughly like a Filly. But see how it's #14 on the box? Those were the 15/16 or 7/8 blades. So if that razor does go with that box, I'd guess it's much smaller than it used to be.

That's a Hoppe in a Filly box.
The Hoppe is Solingen made, while the Filly is Spanish.

this one was on my ebay page when it loaded up. I don't know anything about this brand but this listing has a pic of the stamp: STRAIGHT RAZOR NAVAJA DE AFEITAR ESPECTACULAR - eBay (item 220659927643 end time Sep-01-10 09:56:39 PDT)

I think you're right, the box is from a filly but the razor looks like an Anthony Hoppe "frogger"...
