Hey Rene,
I guess what they say is true; When one has to have it, one will pay any price to get it
PS: I saw this one and it looks like in great condition (I think), but I would not pay $450+ to have it.

Hahaha and to think that I was crying over spending a little over $200 for my wonderedge on an eBAy bid where it was in near mint cond. Needless to say this makes me feel a little better.

Thanked: 74Yeah, I don't get the whole Dubl Duck thing. When I first got into straight razor shaving, I was really interested in getting one based on all of the good reviews, but I could never get past the price. Nowadays, I just don't look at eBay auctions anymore. Congrats to the seller and , hopefully, the winner.

I got lucky and found a satinedge for about 30 bucks on ebay half year or so ago. I let it sit around for a while since I am just learning to hone and didnt want to ruin it before I had a chance to enjoy it. Finally I decided to go for it, it arrived feeling pretty sharp so I disinfected it, did 30 or 40 laps on my finisher and went for my first shave with a dubl duck. First off I noticed that it seemed a lot easier to hone than the others I have tried, no fancy strokes, a nice even grind. The shave was wonderful, I now know what all the fuss is about with dubl ducks, as happy as I am, I am sure they would be even better with an edge from a pro. I am definitely going to keep my eyes open for more ducks, but I would never pay that price for one, even if it is as pretty as the one this thread is all about. Ducks are awesome, just dont sell your soul to get one.

At least it was a duck in good shape. I've seen razors go for much more, in a much worse condition, only because it had some fancy celluloid scales.
