    Default DD- Have a cow

Been wanting a DD Wonderedge to add to my DD collection. However, I just almost had a cow when I saw one in really good shape go for $455.00 on ebay. I new they weren't cheap, but give me a break.

Just wait a few years when that DD that went for $455 sells for $1455. You guys will be pining for the good old days. Har Har. Just remember maybe 7 years ago that would have gone for maybe $100 tops.

You honestly believe they will reach such prices? In excess of a grand for a DD?

As far as I remember that's the ballpark the wonderedges in close to factory condition have been selling for on ebay for the last two years.
The problem is that the photographs on this one don't show the condition of the razor very well.
But after you take into account the cost of travel, gambling on ebay can be cheaper than going to Vegas.

But if you took a look at the guy that won it , his buy/sell # was (0). Hopefully the seller will get paid!

    Take heed guys.

As long as straight shaving continues to grow and collectors continue to buy at some point the seemingly limitless supply of these things will reach a point and all straights of vintage age will explode in price.

This is what happened to pocketwatches. They were made by the hundreds of millions and you could pick up a rare model in mint condition for a few hundred bucks. Common models in average shape you couldn't give away and this was maybe 25 years ago and now they are thousands for the rare ones and the more common one are hundreds. Yes you can pick up beaters that don't run cheap.
