Why is this razor so expensive
This is on Ebay ending today with very high price. What is special about this?

As for me, it's a circus.
But possibly, the handle with patriotic eagle is really rare ...but not for that price.Alex Ts.

The scales do look to be in quite good shape, it has a nice un-restored patina @ the pins, and its Americana. The price still seems excessive. Maybe it is a rare model.

I don't get it. The blade is far from mint condition. Very far. The eagle is nice but it's filthy too. Celluloid is not the rarest of materials either. Maybe if they were mammoth or T-Rex or something.

Even if they were carved out of moon rock, I wouldn't spend $2,000 for a set of scales!! Holy cow, that is amazing. Good find too!

As far as the blade goes the winner couldn't care less he could probably throw it away. Its the scales plain and simple. Think of it as a piece of rare art.

Isn't that the long lost Razor that belonged to George Washington himself??
It would have to be to spend that kind of scratch!!!
I wonder how it shaves?
