This topic seems to come up regularly! I wonder what percentage of razors sold off the bay actually came........ on the bay? Ever tried to find a nice one at a yard sale or antique shop? The answer is an honest seller, in my opinion. Even some high volume sellers dispose of sketchy razors in the name of profit. It seems the best razors I have won were from non-razor guys who knew it seemed good and were willing to answer questions and send more pics. Honest is as honest does as in any dealings. If a sellers pics are suspect or lacking and he will not send more pics or answer more questions, then stay away as he might be hiding something. Start early and get these fine fellas to advise you. Of course, if it IS good, you will have to outbid THEM! Catch 22!

Thanked: 124Just don't spend much till you know what to look for. Ebay sellers are very good at surprises, things being messed up in ways that you wouldn't have thought of.

Thanked: 16In hind sight, I sure wish I trusted that fellow who was selling about 20 or so fillys in separate auctions a few weeks ago. But one never knows. If I had it to do over again, I still would not have gambled as it looked too good to be true.

Like everything else you need to be an informed buyer and be aware of the pitfalls. You can get some great stuff and you can be taken to the cleaners. As my local watch guys says if I have a watch to sell and it's a quality piece I'll sell it in my shop give a warranty and make max profit. If it's junk I sell it on Eboy as is with no warranty to just dump it.
