Default Looks a little rough for straight razor honing

Of course I'm not the expert in hones compared to many here, but this one kind of made me sit up and take notice -- does this look like a straight razor hone to anyone here? Maybe it's just a case of bad photography, but this one looks about as smooth as the surface of a brick, and nothing like what you'd want to sharpen a straight razor with.

Anyway, here's the link and photo:

Hard to tell what it is it's in such bad shape but personally I wouldn't use that on any straight I have. However who knows maybe when it was new it looked very different.

I almost think it might just be a synthetic barber hone that was severely abused for non-razor purposes.

Weird. It almost looks like a piece of rusted metal or something.

Now you know what you can use to sharpen up all those "frowning" razors and not lose that wonderful frown!
