Thanked: 1936Should clean up as a good user, I just hope their aren't any of those "surprises" on it/in it. I had a W&B to show up the other day that I'm not sure I'll be able to get the rust out of the bevel/edge. May end up loosing an 1/8th on it.
I look forward to seeing it cleaned up and ready to be put to work!Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Thanks for a very nice and informative post Glen! Good for us newbies to hear what factors you consider when buying off the 'bay.

Maybe a very silly question: what's so special about an Ern Ator?

They're very special because they're one of the few roundpoints Glen would buy
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanks from me too! I need to print up your E-Bay go/no-go criteria and tape them on the filing cabinet beside my desktop. Looking to score some EBay specials soon now that I've done almost a year's worth of homework, and have a good idea of what I want, what's a good value, etc. Then I hope to get into honing!
There are many roads to sharp.
