    Default Ebay Junk

Why do people try to sell their junk on Ebay?

This guy contacted me on Ebay asking me what to do with his Filly that was broken and if he should sell it and how much its worth since I was selling a few and have bought a few Filly's on Ebay.

I told him it probably isn't worth anything because its damaged beyond all repair. He said what about the box or handles. I said the scales on Filarmonica's are garbage and no one would buy it for that and the box isn't worth anymore than the cost to ship it to someone. I said unfortunately there isn't much to do with this razor and the best place for it is the trash.

Anyway when I see how dishonest people are on Ebay it makes me hate it more and more.

I don't see anything dishonest there, really! The blade is junk, obviously. He is selling some scales and a box! If he started it at a buck, he could probably get 10 tho! Somebody, somewhere needs those scales made from recycled Spanish detergent bottles and the box as well! (I would like the box) Lots of good sellers on the bay in my opinion, but thats my opinion!

What one man may consider junk, another may consider it a fortunate find. As long as the details are there, no harm, no foul IMHO.

It depends, is this the same guy that asked your advice? and ifso are you that expert who seemingly told him it still had some value, if so then he is misquoting you I guess.

Well, I can't fault anyone for trying to sell anything and you are correct in saying that another man's junk is another man's treasure.
Unless he was asking advice of other people than he is not misquoting its flat out lying as I never said there is still value because of the rare color of the scales.

He does honestly state that it's a broken blade. The part that makes me laugh is that he stil thinks it worth the starting bid...lol. Oh well.

To someone with a nice Filarmonica and bad scales or just the wrong color, these scales may be worth a fair amount of money. Personally I find Filarmonica scales so ugly bright that they become cool

I'm kind of cheap but I can understand someone would be willing to pay $10 or $20 for them maybe even more if it would complete a razor.

People sell junk on ebay because other people buy it.
