    Sorry about that Griz, I must have just misunderstood where you were coming from there.

    I completely understand what you've just said which was essentially the undertone of my question. I was looking for references to history of razors, I know I won't be collecting kriegars or gold dollars because of their horrible reputation so I was getting at what are the reputable ones.

    Of course I wont truly know the quality of the shave until later but in the end does anyone really know what kind of shave they'll get from an ebay razor? (unless you're a pro at honing)

    I wanted to bump this thread so some of the newer members can read through one of my concerns when beginning a few months ago. I think this thread helped me a lot in venture into vintage razors
