    There are many specialty items and specialty stores out there where if you sell a used item they will sell it for you and charge you 50%. Stereo equip. is an example.

    People are prepared to pay much more on ebay than they pay for the same thing in the classifieds. That's why I still use ebay.

    @ghostonthehorizon: they are still available.

    I personally dont consider ebays fees to be very reasonable when you consider how little it costs them to list the auction on site, and that they nickel and dime the hell out of you, finding every opportunity to charge a fee (Doubly true now that they own paypal). Or at least they did when I last sold there, and it sounds like its getting worse. I have nothing against making a healthy profit, but I don't think much of trying to squeeze every nickel you can out of your customers.

    I'd also like to see some competition, but it wont be from google. They make too much money from ebay ads.

    It seemed to me at least, once eBay bought PayPal things started going down hill.
    I would definitely try SRP classifieds first. There is a community here. You might be doing yourself and us a favor. If it doesn't sell, then go to eBay.
