What a MONSTER!!!
This has got to be one of the largest razors I've ever seen!
VINTAGE STRAIGHT RAZOR JOSEPH RODGERS SHEFFIELD 1905 - eBay (item 160552959455 end time Mar-07-11 10:20:28 PST)I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

It is just a 17/16 blade according to the seller. Looks much bigger. Will be interesting to see what it goes for.

I've got one too. A 10/8 purchased on a 'buy it now' on the bay for $50.00. The seller was local and I picked it up from him at a Dunkin Donuts so no shipping.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

How do those biguns shave? I tend to down size for a while now, 5/8 and 6/8 being my favs.

Damn that is a big blade. I wonder how much that thing weighs. I had a couple of Wade & Butchers that were both right at 8/8's and they weighed a ton.

Errr...when you say "10/8" does it mean an inch and a quarter?
