Thread: Fake?

Vintage 7-Day Straight Razor Set - eBay (item 330540012701 end time Mar-18-11 18:09:16 PDT)


I have been wanting a 7 day set for a while now. This popped up in my search on ebay and I am a little suspicious. Nothing looks off in that link, good seller rating, legitimate looking old solingen blades, an obscure but findable old Solingen brand.

A nearly identical set from the same brand also in NOS condition. Except this seller has one of his only 5 transactions calling him a complete a "Total cheat. FRAUD !!!!!!". It was for a camera sale, and cameras can be confusing as to their provinence.

Question is this: Is this a legitimate set of razors? Or, is their a small wave of nice looking fakes?

Razors such as those are pretty common and come up on a regular basis. I don't think we have ever seen razor knock-offs yet. Until we do I wouldn't worry about them being fakes. The seller is another story. Whenever you buy on Eboy the watchword is always buy the seller first then the mdse.
