    Default This is pretty fishy....

All these lots by this seller have been bid up to 18.25 exactly. They include a lot of those razor comb things that no one wants, as well as some real junk lots... and a lot of junky knives thrown in for fun. Bid history seems fishy to me, but I'm pretty tired and brain no working to look through thoroughly, though.

Its likely the auctions will be over before any one sees this, but the seller has some other razors coming up later....

No big deal. k***r put in max bids of 17.75 on all of them is all.

Because of proxy bidding, the next bid automatically goes to $18.25 irrespective of what the proxy bid amount was, until someone bids it higher.

Yeah, but hes not the only one. There are a few shared bidders, they seem to be bidding on both straights and knives, and are willing to pay what seems pretty high prices to me. One or two of those things wouldnt seem that odd, but all three together do. Back when I bought fountain pens, I'd watch accounts which were known (or very strongly suspected) to use shills and they'd have bidding behavior similar to this.

But who knows, maybe being paranoid. I'll admit the thing that initially seemed weird was that I was thinking that there were 2 different bidders that got it up to that 18.50 price which, as you point out, was wrong. I have trouble remembering those damn j*****k things even when fully awake.
