I am inclined to guess yes, though that is not the type of microtome typically referred to here on SRP.

Interesting blade.
The actual blade, without the frameback looks like a true wedge shape.
Very cool looking, but wether or not it's meant for shaving, I have no clue.Bjoernar

Microtome has one side hollow next is flat. this is wedge blade with frameback. i think Randy has whole set of them.

Yes, it is a microtome blade. The handle is for stropping and honing it and is removed to install it into a microtome, either sliding or rotary type.
I wonder how it would shave? A great bacon slicer, for sure!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
