Antique stores and flea markets
How often you all visit your local antique stores and flea markets? If I find a new one I nearly always stop in but obviously their stock is ever-changing but at a very slow pace. I feel going there ever couple weeks just gets redundant.
Just wanted to get a feel for what others do - I have found some great things just a couple weeks apart but that's probably pretty rare.

I have 5 antique stores within 10 miles of my house. I rotate which one I go to weekly. So far I've never been shut out on razors.

There are many, many antique stores in the city and burbs that I've been to. Usually I will visit the places that have shaving items that are too pricey or worn out about once a month. the further places or ones that don't often stock shaving stuff are more like 1.5-2 months.

Thanks! I think now I'll probably shoot for about 5 week intervals. There aren't too many in my area but the ones that are here are sort of antique malls with many different vendors within each one so I'm always thinking... "I wonder if anything new showed up this week"

Some of the best flea markets I've ever been to were in Fla. because of all the retiree's.

For me, I try to make it to most of the stores in my area about once a month. Some are 60+ miles from my home to a cluster of little towns they are in so I find a nice restaurant in that area and make it a day trip. About the third or forth time I visit they may have something for me. They ask the folks they know. I have even gotten a call from a local shop when a nice blade came in. The antique season is upon us up Nort' and many shops are now opening for the summer. The little ones are usually open Thursday thru Sunday.. But, the prices they are going up!

Thanked: 1185True, the majority of my collection (straight and safety) were $4-$8 finds at several local Flea Markets. Some required a bit more cleaning and elbow grease than others but they all turned out to be great shaves.
I have several antique stores and a couple flea markets locally. I tend to run the bases once or twice a month. The older I get, the better I was
