I guess this is a bit too late, but for what it's worth, I think that is a beautiful razor.
The TI razors has quite a following, and are regarded highly!

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

    Hello, Crik23:

That is a lovely razor in those wood scales. I have Thiers-Issard 5/8" razors in both snakewood and kingwood scales and they are gorgeous. Some of the vendors listed here have the razors.

    Regards,

    Obie

Good job. I have 3 TIs and I love them. Just make sure you get it professionally honed (I have used Lynn and have no regrets). A TI is tough to get a good bevel, but once done you will absolutely love it. Congratulations.

Aha, Crik23, you did get it. Congratulations. Yes, by all means, do have it honed professionally and it will be a fine shaver.

Where can I get it honed? Ship it or find a store?

    Hello, Crik23:

Please look in the Member Services here: Member Services - Straight Razor Place Classifieds

A number of qualified honing masters are mentioned. Select one and follow directions.

    Congrats!
I was watching it but way too steep of a price for me. I just started using a Dovo shavette and am ready to get into this straight on. Happy shaving
