You couldn't make this up.
Here is a couple of pictures of a razor currently being auctioned on ebay with a starting price of $25.
And here is the description of the item.
Antique Fayban Straight razor. Very good condition. Blade has small inprefection as seen in the photos. Made in Germany.
Surely this seller can't be serious? WTF? It belongs in the bin.

It will probably come out with just a little bit of polish.

This is part of the reason we say to avoid eBay until you know what you're looking for..! There are a lot of unscrupulous people out there who will hock any old junk if they can. Ok, this one is pretty obvious, but others are not so clear.
Some sellers are full of BS and that blade has totally had it.

Thanked: 240This is just a prime example of the rare double thumb notch straight razor. What looks to be a large chip is actually the second thumb notch made specifically for those with two thumbs on one hand.

Well I just saw a Wostenholm with a cracked blade sell for $50 last night, so you never know what crazy people pay for things. This one is obvious, but the Wostenholm quite frankly shocked me.

Interesting beer bottle opener. US members may not know that screw tops are uncommon here in Europe, so we need a proper bottle opener. I am gonna bid 50 USD, this is a unique item!

Did anyone else see the morley with bamboo scales that has been up for auction about 3 months? Started at $100...now it's down to $85. It just bugs me every time I see it in the newly listed.

As I told someone else today I live in No-Wet-Shaving-Person's land. There are straight razors around but the general population believes that no one except gang members or homicidal maniacs want a straight razor that does something besides sit on a shelf as an antique or an oddity. The local antique stores do have razors with broken, rusty, beaten up blades and they think they are in excellent shape and price them like they are in mint condition.
I guess for a razor to park in a curio cabinet that razor is in top shape.
