I think I will simply answer the OP's question and say no, I am not bidding on this, nor will I. Whenever I learn a fellow SRP member is in the running, I'll naturally stay out of that auction!

The best way to insure that no one on SRP bids against you is to announce that if anyone bids on item x,y or z I will come back and kill all of your family and burn your house down. This will discourage anyone from competing with you.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
