It is a pretty unique piece.
$2500 is a pretty penny, but I'm sure that it is worth it to some people out there.
If it sells, then that's what is it worth. At leastBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 1587People can ask what they want, price-wise. Doesn't mean they'll get it. I think the seller is banking on those scales being rare enough, both in materials and aesthetics, to induce someone with more money than brains to hit the bin button. And perhaps there are serious collectors out there who recognise it as being a one-off, unique piece and are prepared to pay that kind of money for it. It's their money I guess.
However, I am always more interested in the blade of straights. Bergs are good shavers, but you would have to fill every orifice in my body with crack before I would even consider that blade for that money. YMMV.

Liar, everybody knows you'd just snicker a day for 10.95 years instead!!!
That's pretty cool scales, but even I would rather spend that money having John make me several different pairs and start my own history. And I don't need crack at all, my precious bodily fluids are by now just alcohol.Last edited by gugi; 08-10-2011 at 09:37 PM.

Well it says 'or best offer'. I wonder whether the seller set the price or if it was a consignee ? Ambitious one way or the other. Still, as a buddy of mine used to say, "If you don't shake the tree, you don't get any fruit."
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
