That's what I thought. I'm still pretty new at this. I was pretty sure that's what I was looking at, but put by bid a little low, just in case I was betting too much. I'll just pretend that the other guy bid the correct price for two items and I would have paid more than I was comfortable in order to win it. I'm sure something else will come up in the future.

Never panic when you lose an auction, there is always something else just around the corner. Athat price you would have paid for the stone and gotten a free razor.

Don't panic is undoubtedly some of the best advice that can be given to humanity. I've actually got a guy around the corner looking for a box of old straights and stones he picked up at an auction. Hopefully that comes through. The guy's a bit of an antique dealer, but from the sound of it, he may have enough stuff to never find what he's looking for.

Funny looking coticule IMHO. I wouldn't have bid.

Funny looking edge: to me it looks as if it has Bell's palsy. I'll bet you can fine better, cheaper.

I wouldn't have identified it as a coticule. It looks more like a two sided barbers hone to me.

Never regret a lost auction. New stones and new razors will come. Better and cheaper.
