I dissent with the rest of the gang; if you are starting out get a low priced razor honed by a professional honer, like a DOVO Best Quality or something from the classifieds. However, if you are not a newbie, them get what you like best. HOG

Thanked: 8Thanks for all the answers . I actually do have a Dovo Best quality and a Thiers Issard, both bought shave ready. Seems like prices on E-bay are overprices so I'll just hold on until I find one in the classifieds here.

I think that is smart! Although I just won this one on eBay, essentially NOS condition wise. And for $66, hard to beat an original Monkhouse Blackie!

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

I'd take the puma, except that it's a bit too shiny of a blade that sits in those celluloid-rot prone scales. Were there problems in the past? Would there be in the future?
