Price aside, I really like that set.

I don't know if it is actually a set.
Not only are the points different, so are the scales. And scales are usually matched in a set.

That said, maybe he is from the future, and 2000$ is the price of a loaf of bread.

His wife probably said to sell them.

Now, he can tell her, "Honey, I put them on Ebay, but nobody bought them".

If somebody offers him $800 he will probably take it...eventually. The seller probably has a collection but has not been actively involved in the straight razor business so his valuations are probably based on a few past sales on Ebay.

Edit......I just made him an offer...it was declined.

honed and stropped by one of the top
five honmasters and then donate half
to the give away with a puck of MWF.

But alas I am not that rich.
