    +1, I've got a few of RW's early works and they are great shavers with a certain panache due to the more rustic quality.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    I never said otherwise. Robert Williams has been a name for quality since before I joined the forum.
    However, for the purpose of guessing whether the sale amount was close to the original price, the finish matters.
    It doesn't say anything about the quality of the shave which I assume to be great. Without exotic materials or specialty steel, the original price would have been lower than if giraffe bone or VG-30 steel had been used.

    Cheaper or similarly priced, the consideration is avoiding the waiting list.
