I'm the same. I wouldn't buy an unseen blade. I've seen a couple of them sell recently though and for pretty big money. It's almost like a lucky dip with no upside.

The seller can say whatever he wants regarding returns. If the buyer tells Paypal that the item is no good they will side with the buyer. AFAIK anyway. Sellers who know this say 'no returns' to discourage dissatisfied buyers but if it is really a travesty Paypal will issue a refund.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Well I'm surprised at that. I've contacted sellers whose ad read 'no returns' and didn't even get an argument. I only had one dispute I didn't 'win' and that was because I withdrew my claim because I decided I wanted the box bad enough to keep the item in spite of the condition of the Gillette Double Ring. Anyway, sorry to hear it didn't work out better for you. The bay is always somewhat of a crapshoot I guess. You pays your money and you takes your chances.

Thanked: 124I think Jimmys right. I've read sellers freaking out about how easily paypal gives money back.
As far as the auction goes, I can only be reservedly amazed at the stupid that goes on on ebay. Its kind of like when you hear another Kennedy has died.

so i have seen in other sections of the forum as well as other threads in this section that posting curent live auctions is a no-no why does it seem like people are okay with this one being posted?? just wondering as i am a newbie and don;t want to break any rules but have been tempted to get advice on blades i have seen on the bay that are live but didn;t want to post because i thought and had seen it was a no-no!??!?!???

In general its not recommended but its not prohibited either..
If its an item that no one from here is likely to bid on then no one will say anything, if its likely to increase its price then i wouldn't be posting it on here until its over and someone will make a fuss about it.Last edited by Brighty83; 10-01-2011 at 06:29 AM.
