Is this for real? $5300!
I saw this and about crapped my pants. $5300US for an unsharpened NEW razor?

What do you mean, "for real"? They've obviously put a real ad on eBay.
If you mean, is it priced beyond what the market would justify? Yes, I think it is. If it were an NOS Tamahagane folding straight, 1-2K would be somewhere in the right ballpark. But for a tamahagane Kamisori, the usual prices run 50,000-80,000 JPY, or US$600-1000.
The fact that this is a "New" razor is interesting. I know that Mizuochi-san does make some Tamahagane razors, but very very rarely, and only for direct orders. I find it odd that this one is on eBay.nun2sharp likes this.

Very cool razor. I have no idea if the price is justified, but for that much money I think I'd like to fly to Japan and meet the razor maker himself and purchase directly.

I think he asked 3500 the previous time he posted it , apparently the more times it is relisted the more expensive it gets ???
