I agree - doesn't look like a corn razor to my eye, but it does seem to have signs of a cut-down blade: the tang is too long and out of proportion, the stabiliser has been cut across and there are grind marks on the tip of the spine.

    Regards,
    Neil

Just to add a bit of info. Every corn razor I have had has something on the tail to stop it coming through the scales once opened 180 degrees. That's not to say they all do that but certainly the ones in my experience do. Plus, as Neil said, the tang has a bad vibe about it for a corn razor.

So I am also coming down on the "butchered razor" side of the fence. Wouldn't it be funny if they butchered it so they could fix their corns?

I may have posted this before. The bottom 2/3 rds. are corn razors, the UR group are corn knives and the UL group are medical instruments.

IMO it is a corn razor and I have seen them butchered quite a bit. This one looks as if it were turned into a lancet.

Actually, I've only seen the Vom Cleff Diamondine as a full size razor. Did that model came as a corn razor ?
Regardless, a corn razor is not a proposition for shaving

Here is a pic of my Diamondine . The blade is not gold , it's the lighting that makes it look that way .
