$1,300 or best offer is a truck load of money but they don't come up very often at all.

I had a very similar one. The spine was also engraved and it had spalted maple scales that were very attractive. I sold it for $650 which was right at what I paid Ellis for it IIRC.

At that sort of price, I might be tempted.
