Anyone on SRP get this Escher ?
It is Item number:130590629879. Here is the link if it works. I'm very curious as to what it turns out to be. Color I mean. You can't tell from the photos. Looks like a light green in most of them but the one end view looks like a blue green. If you don't want to come clean and admit you're crazy enough to pay that for an old piece of rock don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I've done the same thing. If that is the case send me a PM and let me know about the stone.

Is it just me or does the sticker on the stone look a little too good to be true?

I had it on watch, but the price went too high for me to do anything other than observe.

Yes the ink stamps look to be the real deal. I've had them with the ink stamps. I've got one that still has visible but faint stamps. Never been lapped but it has been honed on a bit. I've got another that was pristine label and stamps. I resisted a long time but finally honed and lapped and now the ink stamps are gone.

I think that's a good price considering it is NOS in a large size. Here, nothwithstanding a seller's reputation, they often go for circa 500+ USD. I prefer my Barber's Delight though, in a 6 x 2 size...
I can't tell what colour it is. I would have though YG/LG. Not a bluer variety, though they need lapping to be sure, and resolution of course makes a difference.

Looks like it may well be worth it.... to a collector/non user. It wouldnt stay NOS for long in my hands.
