$14.95 is at the top end of what it usually costs me to get a razor shipped from the US to Australia. Normally it is about $10.
But some vendors pad their shipping costs massively. I don't bid on those. I have seen auctions listed with postage for a razor from the US to Oz at up to $70:dropjaw:

Tell him you want it packed in the small flat rate box and surrounded by crumpled newspapers. That should cost a total of $6.50 or so depending on how expensive a newspaper is. Ad delivery confirmation for another 2 bucks or whatever it costs.
I emailed him to ask if he can do the small flat rate. Have not heard back. Hopefully he comes to his senses!!
If you really want to do something about it, you can appeal to ebay and try to claim a violation of their following rule:

There are also rules in that section detailing what sellers can charge for shipping, which you might also be able to contest
I would try to resolve it with the seller though, and then I would stop using eBay because it sucks
Shipping a razor 1st class in the U.S. with tracking costs me about $2.50 maybe $1 more for packaging. $14.95 is way way out of line
Yeah, I'm with Lee. And if you didn't, do it on all subsequent deals on the 'bay. If it were me I'd take it, learn from the experience, and if you are genuinely sure they changed the shipping from free to 15 bucks, leave negative feedback. Maybe even officially complain to Ebay about it. Besides that, domestic shipping should not be that expensive.

Just file a dispute, say he broke ebay rules. Sellers CANNOT give a buyer negative feedback. It is impossible. Incredibly stupid but true. So you're totally safe as a buyer. You also shouldn't get a non-paying bidder strike either, since the dispute would include the fact that he changed terms of shipping after auction end. I'm sure he will agree to cancel the transaction if you send the dispute.
Sellers aren't able to leave negative or neutral Feedback for buyers. Buyers can. If he doesn't budge I would at least leave a neutral with the excessive shipping charges noted in your feedback.Quote:
